Government Proposal Writing to Win Government Procurement Contracts

Synopsis: To be able to win government contracts, business owners must learn about the various types of federal proposals, as well as how to effectively write them.

Government procurement can lead businesses to high investment returns. To be able to do so, a government contract proposal must be ready.

It is always a must for the government proposals to be presented professionally as these may make or break the success of contractors in government procurement proposals. First and foremost, the federal government proposal should contain all the information required by the government agency. It is for this reason that business owners must be knowledgeable about writing a winning proposal.

Three Forms of Federal Government Proposals
1) Request for Proposal (RFP) - To enable the public to know what products or services they need to purchase, government agencies publish RFP. RFP-type of government contracts are done to call the attention of several companies that may be interested in making bids or negotiations.

Take note that this request for proposal carries essential information as necessitated by government agencies. The bids will then be assessed basing on the proposals submitted by the contractors; therefore, it is very critical for them to explain how and in what way they can address the needs of the clients.

2) Invitation for Bid (IFB) - This is quite similar to RFP; it is just that IFB is more on receiving sealed bids from interested contractors. This document contains all information necessary to participate in the bid, like items for purchase, terms and conditions, as well as delivery and payment schedule.

3) Request for Quotation (RFQ) - IFB is the same with RFQ because it also asks for sealed bids from businesses. However, RFQ is only to hire the services of a contractor for a specific job; hence, it is not long-term.

It is always best for the contractors to get a sample government proposal following each of the type of government contract proposals in order for them to draw a clear difference between the three.

After this, contractors are confident to write a proposal. Before the writing takes place however, the contractors should carefully consider the deadlines of proposal, language that needs to be used and format. To be sure, a sample government proposal must be available for double checking.

How to Create Government Contracts

Before submitting the proposal, here are some DOs and DON'Ts that must be observed:

DOs:
- Create a draft
- Make sure to emphasize the capabilities of the company to meet the expectations of the agency
- Describe in the federal contract proposal how the company can meet the needs of the agency

DON'Ts:
- Use of marketing language for it may give wrong information and establish wrong impressions
- Leave out company details that are necessary for the application
- Leave sections unanswered
- Create an impression that the company is just like the others
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Where are the luxury watches stores in my area

Yes, this is the question I was wondering while one year savings allowed me to buy myself a Rado Luxury watch. Rado watch was not my first preference rather I was looking for Rolex Luxury watches. Rolex was the one of the luxury watches brand that remember.

I went to to the nearby local shopping malls in the tri-city but unable to locate one selling the watches I need, I asked my friends, colleagues but not a good response. Then I thought that visiting so many places will not be a good idea and it will take lots of time and energy to do so. Thus I make up my mind to do online research and but the watch online. I researched online for about 2-3 hours and I zeroed in to Rado brand watch. I placed my order and the watch reached me within next 10 days :)

Thus I'd like to suggest my friends to ask online where can I find luxury watches in India or in my city so that you can order online and save your time and money.

Why Hire Experts in Procurement Services?

Companies need to hire experts in procurement services although it is possible to merely assign the company staff to tackle the work. These services an be provided by some companies to other companies while there are other companies that hire people or firms to do these services for them. Indeed, in every business enterprise, the procurement process is a vital factor. Hiring procurement service experts is still required for several reasons.

  1. Some companies have a procurement office but if it is not performing according to the need. It is essential in this case to hire professionals for procurement services who are highly qualified for the job. Along with their procurement experiences are the beneficial trainings that make them especially helpful in negotiating and exercising sourcing plans. Highly knowledgeable on trade market, these experts are well-versed with the market prices for a range of goods and services.

  2. Because they regularly read, study, and negotiate offers, procurement service professionals are very reliable for this task Then again, it is required that before hiring them, careful discussion as regards the purpose of the company is needed to ensure that expectations are met. There is a need for the client and the procurement service provider to work in harmony with one purpose.

  3. Hiring procurement officers can be a great help to companies to accomplish cost reduction. What they principally look after is the analysis of the company’s current suppliers and the number of materials used monthly, the quality of the items is studied whether they are first-class or not. If not, lesser pricing can be dealt so long as they are still at a standard. Therefore, they attempt to notify these suppliers to reduce costs to evade the necessity of requesting for proposals from other dealers.

  4. To help find chances to get savings, procurement experts consider each factor that contributes to reduced operational costs. Nevertheless, the quality of the goods or services the company purchases is still studied. This implies that cost efficiency or the best value for money for procurement experts is a different thing.

  5. It becomes less demanding to look for better suppliers with the help of procurement professionals, which is more cost-effective than having it tackled by the company staff members, who have other priorities to finish for their job. The company staff members will consider it as a non-priority so they will only deal with the merchants on the list without studying or reading new proposals. But with procurement service experts, a more persistent task is guaranteed.

  6. With procurement officers, more related and advantageous functions can be accomplished. These functions include the supervising of production schedules, assessing of employee productivity, and ensuring of punctual delivery.

  7. With their sufficient experience in the procurement processes, procurement officers already have the savvy on the right people to negotiate with among the suppliers, those they can depend, and those they should keep away from.

A decent corporate contract can be attained by knowing the concepts and the techniques of the procurement experts. Companies that want to participate in the procurement process to win corporation contracts have to be aware of the techniques carried out by experts who provide procurement services.

Anti corruption Campaign of Anna Hazare

In the last few weeks whole India and world saw the power of Gandhian method of protest. a 74 years old man who retired from Indian Army made the government agree to his demands. The main reason for his success is the support he got from the country people everyone including youth, women, kids and old people came out on the road to protest against corruption.

The best part was that Campaign wasn't going at a particular location in Delhi but all over India and few parts of the world as well.

People say its a victory but the real thing will be once the proposed bill is passed and how the bill gets implemented.

Will it cause deaths of Lokayukts like we have seen many RTI activists were killed in various parts of India.

And above all will any politician will get convicted for the corruption he did. So far I've never seen in my life that a politician has paid for what he did be it one doing CHARA ghuatala (Fodder Scam) , Boforse scandal, commonwealth games scandal, 2G scam, Telgi Scam, hawala scandal or Harshad Mehta & Ketan Parekh Stock Market Scam. The list of the scams where politicans are involved is longer. Even if a single politician gets imprisonment y lokpal bill I'd say Anna fast was worth it.

Wishing for a lokpal bill that will help reduce corruption.

This is Love
